Little Rock (LR) women’s basketball defeated the Florida Atlantic Owls 61-38 Wednesday night at the Jack Stephens Center.
The Trojans started strong and never looked back, scoring 31 points in the first half with senior Ronjanae DeGray leading all scorers with 17 points for the game on 7-9 shooting. The scoring effort for the Trojans was balanced, with senior Yanina Inkina contributing 14 points on 6-10 shooting.
The Trojans were locked-in defensively, scoring 35 points off of turnovers while holding the Owls to 36 percent shooting for the game.
The victory gave the Trojans a two-game win streak as the group defeated the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 69-58 in their season opener.
The Trojans prepare to take on the Rice Owls Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Jack Stephens Center as they look to keep their undefeated record intact.
