Little Rock (LR) women’s basketball followed the men’s impressive overtime victory against Southeastern Oklahoma with a 69-58 win at Louisiana Tech (LT) on Friday.
The first two quarters proved tightly contested with LR heading into the half up 35-28. Kyra Collier and Teal Battle led the Trojans in scoring at the half with 12 and eight points, respectively. Ronjanae DeGray forced two steals, while Sydney Chastain dished four assists.
A third-quarter surge by LT forced a lead change with LR trailing 48-43 at the end of the third quarter.
The Trojans followed LT’s scoring run with a run of their own, putting the game out of reach in the fourth quarter with a 69-58 victory.
Kyra Collier led LR with 31 points and four steals, while Sydney Chastain added six assists. Ronjanae DeGray grabbed eight rebounds.
Next up, LR is set for their home debut versus Florida Atlantic on Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m.
