The SGA elected and swore in sophomore Stuti Chatterjee to the position of senator-at-large.
“I would like to join SGA in order to gain networking and leadership skills for the future,” Chatterjee said.
Chatterjee, who is majoring in biology and chemistry, is a part of the Biology Club and Pre-Health Club on campus. Her election was unanimous.
Sen. Katie Zakrzewski, who is Chatterjee’s roommate, spoke positively of the then-prospective senator’s work ethic and recommended her as a good addition to the body.
“She’s very very smart, very very dedicated in everything that she does. She does it 110 percent,” Zakrzewski said.
- The SGA discussed the possibility of holding its next election over a period of two 12 hour days rather than one.
- Josh Keyes, vice president of Students Affected by the Military, spoke briefly about events that the organization will host for Veterans Week, which starts next Monday.
