Bradley Cooper’s remake of the classic movie ‘A Star is Born’ brought out a delightfully captivating side to the beloved tale that has been told time and time again.
‘A Star is Born’ is an emotional masterpiece, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with Cooper’s version. Cooper (Jackson Maine) and Lady Gaga (Ally Campana) take their time in each scene, which makes the interactions between the two seem more natural rather than scripted.
Similar to the other remakes of this movie, Cooper’s version takes place in the modern musical world, but the lyrics and the disarming raw talent the two main actors have made it surprisingly charming. The chemistry between Cooper and Gaga created breathtaking and believable musical performances onscreen.
Although it’s a love story through and through, the film also follows the cynical side of showbiz. Cooper didn’t shy away from showing the self-destruction that follows someone when they’re struggling with a drug addiction and the result is a touching remake that feels like it’s the sole version.
Cooper’s version of this story will shock you, make you laugh and flood your eyes with tears, but in the end, it will take up a special place in your heart. It’s been a while since a film with the potential to leave us so vulnerable and moved has entered the theaters.
Be warned, you will want to keep seeing this beautiful rendition of ‘A Star is Born’ over and over again. Just make sure you bring plenty of tissues with you.
