Former SGA President Brian Gregory spoke about his ideas for the new SGA Constitution, whom the senate chose along with former Vice President Faith Thomas for the duty of revision.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to be helping you all out and working with you,” Gregory said. “One of the things that, you know, last year that we worked on was trying to bring more structure and more organization to SGA and trying to make it a better organization for the students.”
Gregory wants to focus on how the SGA communicates with students as well as allow room for future developments in student culture.
The senate discussed its plans to create committees that aim to improve life at UA Little Rock several ways, including
- Plans for homecoming and the new mascot.
- Plans for major-specific organization/career fairs.
- Open discussion with Sodexo about being able to pay with cash at the new WOW Cafe.
- The development major-specific writing seminars.
