This week, the SGA made clear its plans for the upcoming event “A Voteless People is a Hopeless People”, and yet again discussed a potential date and time for the “Your Voice Heard!” town hall meeting.

“A Voteless People is a Hopeless People,” an event meant to educate students on the importance of local elections, will be on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m., in DSC Ledbetter. Three-to-four members of the Student Government Association will set up a table, and assist in handing out voter registration forms.

Though on Oct. 23’s meeting President Brian Gregory said that a formal bill would be put forth to outline the SGA’s role in this event, he said this week that such measures were not necessary.

Currently, the prospective date for “Your Voice Heard!” is Tuesday Nov. 14. However, before the SGA can make a decision, the Committee for Educating Students on People, Processes, and Resources must receive permission to use Ledbetter Hall on that date.
