This week the senate approved two new appeals court justices: junior Jared Stovall and senior Tyren Tidwell.

Stovall, at his previous college, held a chair membership position in the Phi Beta Kappa honors society. He recruited a minimum of a hundred students per semester, and believes that experience such as this will make him a “good fit” for SGA.

“I feel like I’m good at communicating myself with others,” Stovall said.

Tidwell has held leadership positions at UA Little Rock, including as an ambassador for the College of Business.

In addition, a bill was passed which will appropriate funding from the SGA’s budget to advertise for the Go!bbler Turkey Trot, a Thanksgiving Day charity race meant to bring in canned goods for the Arkansas Foodbank. The funding will not exceed $100, and will be used to print posters and fliers around campus.
