On Friday afternoon, Little Rock (LR) soccer took on Murray State at Cutchin Field in Kentucky. The Trojans (3-2) faced a Racers team off to an impressive start, 4-0 coming in to Friday afternoon’s contest. Despite rallying from a 3-1 deficit to force the game to overtime, the Trojans gave up a goal only 50 seconds into the first overtime period to lose the game 4-3.
Sophomore Doro Greulich accounted for all three of LR’s goals, while junior Jaclyn Purvine assisted on one goal. Murray State’s goalscorers included Aaron Lankster and Rebecca Kubin, while Harriet Withers tallied two goals, including the game winner.
The loss dropped the Trojans record to 3-3 and moved Murray State’s undefeated streak to five games.
Sunday, the Trojans will face off against Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tennessee at 1:00 p.m.
